The benefits of Yoga Nidra are countless and completely unique to you. You are taking the time to allow your body and mind to enter a deep state of conscious rest. Although you are not sleeping during this process, the benefits are similar to that of sleep. This time allows your nervous system to calm to a state of rest and digest (the opposite of the more commonly know fight or flight) which is vital for maintaining health.

Your mind will illustrate the visualization, sense each area of your body and experience sensation all in your own way. Whilst this is happening, you will take away whatever you need from the process.
